In the second decade of 21st century, MRPD College Talwara which is situated in the lap of Pong dam and the low hill of Hoshiarpur District. It is the college which is famous because it is at the border area of the canal and peaceful-pleasant area which is full of lush green surroundings makes it a separate identity.

In year 1986 when this college is established even though in its initial stage lack of buildings, new technology, political avoidance and due to the backward area, staff and students do not become time peers. But apart from that the forward and high thinking of the professors and hard work of the students of this college has made us proud by winning the national level games and scored higher marks in their academic sessions.

The hard work of the teachers and courage of students made the NAAC team to appreciate this college with the B+ grade even we were lacking behind with the basic facilities to the students and teachers.

Popular as the name of Government Arts and Science College talwara, MRPD Govt. College Talwara is on the same level of other famous colleges of the Punjab. Today this college has done the scientific advancement. The higher thinking of staff, new and ventilated buildings, big library, new science labs, Wi-Fi buildings, smart and virtual rooms, computer and EDUSAT like facilities making it now among high level colleges.

Girls taking the admissions in this college in high level: The people of the area do not reveal the new view of the girls, but the college also feels respectable. B. A., B.Com, B. Sc. (Medical and Non-Medical), M. A. Punjabi and Hindi holding the courses like this have many future possibilities.
